Excellent car that is amazingly fun to drive
written by Paul Raymond, September 17, 2009
I drive a 2009 BMW Mini Cooper S. It is an excellent car that is amazingly fun to drive. It has great fuel economy, safety and handling. Its almost like driving a go kart. The Mini Cooper is sporty and fun. It's practical as a two-seat car, with comfortable seats, useful cargo capacity, and an EPA-rated City/Highway 28/37 miles per gallon. Inside, it's large enough to accommodate all sizes of drivers and front passengers in comfort. With the folding rear seats, the Mini Cooper can haul reasonable amounts of gear. To meet European environmental and fuel-economy requirements, BMW designed a completely new engine in cooperation with Peugeot. It produces approximately the same horsepower as before: 172 in the Mini Cooper S. But horsepower is only part of the story. However, a new turbocharger in the Cooper S delivers 177 pound-feet of torque from 1600 to 5000 rpm, significantly improving performance. The Mini Cooper S also has many aftermarket companies that make parts for this car. Intakes, exhaust systems, rims, suspension, body kits, spoilers, head lights, tail lights, and more. The car's light weight makes it quick and gives it better fuel economy. I would recommend this car to anyone of any age.

An Awesome Ride
written by bfellow, September 23, 2009
If you want performance, speed, power, acceleration, and fuel economy in a small package, then the Mini Cooper S is the car for you. I purchased one about a year ago and it still hasn't gotten old to drive. I'm a little bit of a lead foot, so its awesome having a turbocharged engine under the hood to put out those 172 ponies.

The interior styling is very clean and sporty. In the past I've slacked on keeping the interior of my car clean, but with the Cooper S you feel like you need to keep it in top performance no matter how small the detail. Part of me wishes I had gone with the convertible to feel the wind in my hair as I rev this car up, but I have never doubted the purchase of this true sports car. The handling and bull-dog stance of this car will have your heart pumping.

We chose the Mini Cooper S and were not disappointed
written by Bob the Builder, December 14, 2009
Being that I normally drive a mini-van on a daily basis, when we recently went on vacation without the kids, we decided to go sporty. We chose the mini cooper S and were not disappointed. I thought I was going to be cramped and uncomfortable but after driving the 2 hours from the airport, I wasn’t at all. Very pleasant to drive, the manual transmission makes you feel more in control that the usual automatic does. You would never know it was only a 4 cylinder car, as it felt more powerful. You do notice the 4 cylinders at the gas pump, or at least the lack of time you spend there. Our model came with an Ipod adaptor in the glove box. Love the feeling of cruising down the freeway with the music blaring and the panoramic sunroof open. Ipod and sunroof are not standard features we were told, but we can’t wait to ditch the minivan and buy a mini cooper.

a blast to drive!
written by racheln, December 16, 2009
The Mini Cooper S is quick, has great handling, good gas mileage, and, most importantly, is a blast to drive! This is my daily driver, and though I have ended up with 2 speeding tickets in the past year, I don't regret it a bit. I love driving this car, it is a joy to own. The finish on the interior is nice, and everything is put together well. The dials look great, night or day, and the seats are more comfortable than you would expect. I have the most fun driving on roads with many bends, with the windows down. Also, you can fit into any parking space! It may not be for everyone, but the Mini Cooper S is a fun and reliable, and they seem to retain their value well.

Small, fast and effecient! The perfect hot hatch.

I bought a Mini Cooper S right after I graduated from my university. It was an excellent first car that had really amazing miles per gallon. Although I found the fact that it took 8 seconds to go from 0 to 60 MPH to be rather unsettling. Its size and weight alone made it a car that was able to fit into any parking spot, as for the notorious parallel parking, it handled it easily. Overall it was an excellent car and the newer models are improving on the ones before.
